Fashion designer and celebrity stylist Dina Bar-El bought her house in Beverly Hills in the 1980s and stripped it down to the studs. Then she did an opulent remodel with mirrors, sconces and recessed ceilings.
She built a large great room with seamless living space — something popular now but unusual at the time — and put the master bedroom on the main floor. Her forward-thinking design makes her home a uniquely modern space with a throwback feel.
